The annual Veterans Day Parade rolls down 4th Street in downtown Las Vegas from Garces Avenue to Stewart Avenue, 10am to noon. Bring a folding chair and sit anywhere along the route; the bleachers at 4th and Clark (near the start) are open seating, while the grandstand bleachers at 4th and Ogden are reserved. It's held every November 11, whatever day of the week it falls on. Metered street parking and garages along the route.
A lunchtime salute to veterans: The Swing It! Girls sing swing and jazz (concert at noon), T.A.P.P.S. performs Taps, and nonprofits and veteran-serving groups share resources. Veteran-owned food trucks are on hand for lunch (food costs extra; trucks may change).
