Terms
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These terms are the rules for using FreeBee, on the website and in the app. By using FreeBee or creating an account, you agree to them. We’ve kept them short and plain.
What FreeBee is
FreeBee lists free things to do and get around San Diego County. We check listings against official sources, but details like dates, hours, eligibility and supplies can change without notice, and some listings come from the community. Always confirm with the official source (the “How to get it” link) before you go. We don’t run the events or offers we list, and we aren’t responsible for them.
Your account
- One account per person, for your own use.
- Use an email address that’s really yours, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password safe. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, post scams or spam, or try to game votes and reports.
- You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time on the help page.
Tips and posts you share
- What you post must be true, to the best of your knowledge, and actually free.
- No links or contact details in tips, no ads or sales pitches, no scams, and nothing hateful, harassing or illegal.
- We review tips and posts and may edit, decline or remove them, or hide them after reports, at our discretion.
- You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it, you give us permission to show, store, adapt and share it on FreeBee and in our emails and social posts, for free and without needing to ask again.
FreeBee never asks you to pay
We will never ask for payment, card details or gift cards to get something listed here. Anyone who does, even if they say they’re from FreeBee or the organizer, is likely running a scam. Don’t pay, and tell us right away.
The Thursday email
The weekly email is optional. You only get it if you opt in and confirm your address. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can stop it anytime.
No guarantees
FreeBee is free and provided “as is.” We do our best to keep listings accurate, but we can’t promise that every listing is correct, available or suitable for you, or that the site will always be up. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses that come from using FreeBee or relying on a listing, including a wasted trip, an event that changed, or anything that happens at a place or event we list. Use your own judgment and stay safe.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as FreeBee grows. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and for bigger changes we’ll let members know. If you keep using FreeBee after an update, the new terms apply.
